AMP Global Youth was founded by students eager to take action around global issues. Through training programs and campaigns, we amplify the voice and power of global youth.
The Content Creator plays a key role in sparking conversations around global challenges and the power of youth via our social media accounts (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook), and/or through creating short videos on timely topics (shared on Youtube and IGTV). This is a great opportunity to build writing, video, social media, and/or graphic design skills.
The Video Content Creator tells the story of global youth and the biggest global challenges facing our generation through short videos (3-8 minutes). The Curator will identify great stories, film (on phone, tablet or laptop) and edit them, and promote them online through IGTV, Youtube, and social media platforms. They will also help us evolve and refine our video strategy on an ongoing basis. The Video Content Creator must commit to at least three videos, and will receive training on how to use relevant tools and access our accounts. In the Fall 2020 semester, Content Creators will specifically focus on content related to COVID-19 and the elections, and their broader implications for youth and global issues.
Our programs are growing quickly, and the Content Creators will have the opportunity to play an essential hands-on role making sure we do an exceptional job presenting, connecting and building our brand and programs.
This is a contract position for self-starters with a strong interest in global issues, media, video and/or graphic design. Successful applicants are extremely comfortable with these skills, but they don’t need previous professional experience of any sort. They should also have the equipment to do this work (i.e. phone, tablet and/or computer). They are also extremely reliable, and have 2-3 hours/week on an ongoing basis to complete this work. Content Creators must be able to use Venmo or Paypal to be eligible for this position.
Benefits of working with AMP:
Creators commit to a minimum of 3 videos over the semester. These are paid positions, at the equivalent of $20/video.
